Cerian Wagstaff
Cerian Wagstaff has a love of genealogical research and over 18 years’ experience in the field. There is nothing she enjoys more than bringing family history to life. Cerian is passionate about helping people find their lost relatives using DNA and records and has solved many cases.
Cerian has a Bachelor of International Communication and is a current member of NZSG (New Zealand Society of Genealogists). She is also starting to study towards a postgrad diploma in Genealogical, Palaeographic & Heraldic Studies at the University of Strathclyde.
Cerian has experience researching all over the world, including the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, USA, Australia, Pacific Islands and Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Cerian's work in genealogy and communications has helped make her a passionate and methodical researcher who is ready to help you on your journey as you discover your family history.
ABOUT
Scott Hamilton
Scott Hamilton has a PhD in Sociology from The University of Auckland. His PhD thesis, which was later published as a book by Manchester University Press, was a study of British society in the 19th and 20th centuries.
He has published books in the UK, America and New Zealand, as well as writing essays and articles for many journals. Scott's 2016 book The Stolen Island explained the family histories of Pacific Island victims of 19th century slave raids. The book received extensive media attention and was widely acclaimed. In 2017 he was given the inaugural Auckland Mayoralty Literary Grant to write about the history of the city. The result was 2018’s Ghost South Road, a study of the Great South Road and the communities that have grown around it.
Scott is eager to add historical context to your family stories and to help write your memoirs.
