I cannot recommend Cerian Wagstaff highly enough. She has undertaken the most exhaustive, emotionally complex and time-consuming search that I have ever read about, watched, witnessed — and in my case — been part of. As an adopted person, I have always had an obsession for watching TV shows and reading stories about families lost and found. On that basis alone, I considered myself quite the armchair expert. So it was an utter surprise to feature in my own story!

 

Cerian’s knowledge and research skills were crucial for unlocking family secrets and unknown surprises. She did all of this with utmost professionalism and sensitivity to all parties, by bringing her pragmatic approach and non-judgement. Her particular skills made difficult relationship connections possible. I was not aware that the journey I was going to embark on with her would traverse continents and multiple generations. Having thought that I knew quite a lot about my history and background, I had no sense that my story was still to yield epic revelations. All along the way Cerian supported me with wise counsel, good judgement and no pressure. She allowed me to set the pace at every stage.

 

Having gone through such an important and profound journey with Cerian has deepened my relationship with her; I consider her a lifelong friend who holds a special place in my heart, and that of my family. We will all be forever grateful to her for the help and expertise she provided us in establishing and growing our whānau and tūrangawaewae.

 

Cerian is incredible at what she does. She has deep connections and networks around the globe to help her in her work. She is passionate and highly talented.
